Arts and Crafts Residence
By TEA2 Architects
With a deep appreciation for the history of Bayfield these homeowners wanted a house that reflected a sense of time. They wanted to convey to the passerby this home had been a landmark for the ships and schooners of old. The stone base echoes the brownstone native to Bayfield and as was traditional in the past a true cedar shingle roof was chosen. Mahogany and Spanish Cedar evoke an essence of a handmade boat reflective of arts and crafts style but filled with light.
